About J. Ryan Foundation
Why
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2016. Through the generosity of my family I was able to obtain an assisted walking device, Bioness L300, that changed my life. The L300 gave me hope that I could improve my condition and through hard work and determination I have. It still sucks just not as bad. These devices are typically not covered by insurance and can be quite expensive, just under $6,000 each. Through the generosity of many we have purchased 4 devices for two young girls in the Columbus, Ohio area by using the Go Fund Me platform, photos below. I have learned quickly that the need is great and decided to form a 501c3 with the encouragement and support of a very good friend. The obvious benefit of a 501c3 is all donations are tax deductible and secondly we can expand our fundraising opportunities. 100% of all money donated will assist others that are in desperate need for hope.

Strides of Hope's mission is to strive to provide support and resources for individuals affected by neurological disorders. Our mission is to ensure that everyone has access to assisted walking devices they need to improve their quality of life and regain a sense hope when needed most.
